  1. I entered the beginning of December and still have not received my Green Card.
  2. I feel like I’m at the end of what I can answer. My doctor told me that they would note that there wasn’t sufficient time for me to get my second immunizations because of how close the interview was to the 28 day mark and that it wouldn’t affect my visa. i didn’t provide proof that I had gotten the second immunizations but I did bring the vaccination records to the interview just in case.
  3. My doctors told me the same, so it should be fine. They told me that I could get the second doses four weeks later so I got the second doses then because I don’t like to leave anything longer than necessary with this process haha. But that was just personal choice. I could have gotten them done after my interview though.
  4. I had my first doses done at the medical and the second doses done at a pharmacy before my interview.
  5. I got two done twice. MMR and Varicella (chicken pox) - dose one. Four weeks later I got them both again. i had my medical exam in BC, not Montreal.
  6. I had chicken pox as a child and they didn’t care. I either had to get vaccinated or get a blood test proving immunity. Not sure if all doctors are the same, but it’s probable. your family doctor can order the test too. I think it was called a titer test. I didn’t have time for the results so I just got vaccinated again.
  7. Hate to double post, but I crossed into the USA on my CR1 visa tonight. Everything went well and I am officially a permanent resident of the United States. Best of luck to you all ♥️
  8. Posted this in another thread but here’s my experience with Canadapost: ——————————————————————————— Hey everyone! update on my canadapost experience. i got the tracking number yesterday morning by email. I called the Canadapost customer service line and told them that it was my passport. They flagged it as an important document (apparently they have a procedure for it). I received it today in the Vancouver area around 12:30 PM Pacific Time. The phone Number I called was 1-866-607-6301. I don’t remember the menu options but it was pretty self explanatory. Hope that helps someone and you all get your passports soon!

  10. I got a tracking number today. The last movement I saw was it said "item processed" in Montreal, which I assume means the sorting facility. When i called Canadapost today the agent on the phone said that if it can get through Montreal quickly then I likely will have it in a couple of days.
  11. Thanks so much for keeping everyone in the loop. My guess is that just means that it hasn't been scanned through Canada Post. I'd love to hear when the tracking works and/or you receive your passport. At my work, we print off tracking numbers for pieces of mail and then have them picked up the following morning where they are scanned into the CP system and available for tracking then. My guess is that they use a similar process.
  12. Thanks for the update @Hill.ary ! Let us know when it finally gets to you. Crazy to think it's going to take so long
  13. I paid for the courier service but I am 99% sure that just means that Canada Post brings it to my house instead of to a post office. I am hoping that it means they use a higher priority when shipping as well.
  14. Interview summary time: Arrived at 8:10 AM for a 9:00 AM interview and was allowed to go in. They gave me a number and instructions on what order to put all of my documents in. The order of documents made sense and the document was easy to follow. I had created a binder of documents to bring and they were almost all in the same order that I had assumed they would be. I sat in the waiting room for about an hour and a half before I was called to the first window. At the first window, I just needed to hand over the requested documents (essentially the documents that I had scanned and uploaded to NVC). Then I had to go sit down and wait for my interview. That's when I found out that @arellah got her approval!!! Then I had to wait for about 20-30 minutes for my interview (I brought a book that I read while I waited to distract myself). Then I had my interview where I took an oath that I was telling the truth and then they asked me maybe 8 questions (which took about ten minutes). Then they gave me my approval and told me that my passport would be mailed back to me (as other people have said). I tried to get more information about the mailing system, asked how long they were expecting the mail to take with the strike and also what priority they send the mail. Unfortunately, they told me they didn't know anything about the mail but told me to call a number on the sheet they gave me about the mail. The number was not helpful. I'll just wait until I get the email from the Consulate with my tracking number and give you guys the information as soon as possible.
