Hi - I am applying for N400... however, I am not sure what address should I use. I recently bought a house with my wife (US Citizen) about three months ago. We haven't moved in yet because we are still updating/remodeling the home. We are still living in the same address in the last 5+ years. Should I use the new address or the old one? The two houses are in the same city/State.

Thanks!

Yes, you can always update your address anytime. The moment your form n400 has been received, you will get a mail containing your detail info along with instruction on how to create uscis account. The letter has some code that u will need to create the account. After the account created, there's a section where you can edit your address should in case your address changes. I know this becos I did it too. Hope this help.

I agree with @Peteddy I would use the old one. Once you actually move change your physical and mailing address on the N-400 application so that you receive your letters in the correct place. You're also allowed to give clarifications on any item on your application on a separate piece of paper (unsure of  how it works on the online application), you can mention that in "n-month" you will be moving to a house that you bought after renovations.

Citizenship Journey:

(Month 1)-   N-400 sent: 12/20/17

(Month 2)-   Fingerprints: 01/11/18

(Month 8)-   Interview: 07/30/18

(Month 9)-   Oath Ceremony: 08/23/18

Officially a U.S. Citizen!
