Military records

Has anyone here served in the military? I’ve got a copy of my personal records but it’s a whole lot of useless paperwork. I believe the embassy wants them as in the US they have an honourable/dishonourable discharge and in Australia we no longer have that. 

 

If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Can you elaborate a little more.

What do you mean the embassy wants them?  Did they ask for military records?

I saw a required document list for visa interviews at the Sydney Embassy. It stated that I needed a copy of military records

go to the above link and select Australia. Scroll down to the documents reciprocity section, choose military records tab... it states how to get what they need if your records do not show discharge status.. as mine will after 1991.

This is perfect! Glad I saw this, my records don’t show the discharge status. I’ll type up the letter and post it tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t take too long to hear back from them.
