[problem with incorrect name in I-131(advance parole) receipt

Hey! I'm adjusting my status from a k1 visa, I also filed for a work permit and advance parole. The thing is that when I got my receipts for all three forms, my I131 NOA had a misspelling. The last letter of my last name was incorrect. So I called USCIS right away and they said they'd fix it. I checked my case status on the website, but nothing changed.

Today I got a letter scheduling my biometrics appointment. In the letter they only put the numbers for the form 1-485 and for my I-765. It's like I didn't file for my I-131!!! They also scheduled on a day that I'll be out of the state, in the middle of nowhere. Is it possible to try a walk-in?

Has anyone experienced any of that?

Thanks

The biometrics appointment letter will only list the i485 and i765 cases, so don’t freak out. You can ask the officer when you’re there to check up on your name and make sure everything is correct.

You can try an early walk in but it’s never guaranteed. I’d try sooner rather than later so if anything goes wrong you still have time to reschedule either the appointment or whatever you’re doing that day.

good luck

It can vary. Check if your ASC is on this list:
