USCIS approved petition that my fiancee filed for us.  They wrote the approval notice validation till 16th Sept 2018.

Pls can the validation date be extended?

Your response will be appreciated...

Is that for the i129f? If so you must schedule interview and do medical. That’s the next step. You can schedule the interview up to close to the date of validity of the i129f and it would take a while after for your visa to be issued. Then after that you would still have 6 months to enter the US. I wouldn’t let the i129f expire or file for an extension because that’s not always guaranteed and you could be facing starting the process all over paying all the fees all over.

Yeah it's for i-129f.  But is extension possible? If yes, how?

I’ve heard people talking about it being possible on this website but I’ve never heard anyone mentioning being successful doing it. As long as your interview is before the expiration date on NOA2 it’s fine. So you can schedule your interview as far as you can into that date then you would still have 6 months on top of that to enter the country. Like I said before I wouldn’t let it expire or try the extension because you can’t ever trust USCIS.

Your visa will expire 6 months from the day of your medical exam, not 6 months from the visa issuance.   If you want to extend your time as much as possible, complete your medical exam closer to your appointment date.
