yeah, but before we even get to AOS...we have to deal with the embassies!

it took us two months just to get packet 3...and then we had to pay $75 for it!

Now we have other stuff holding us back...just lik anyone who lives outside of canada trying to get a records check.

So if my journey was done at USCIS...and that was all that mattered....why don't we have our visa yet?

I too was a VSC filer, however I was a person beyond the average (56 days I think) and when you are outside of the average it can make you worry.

I - like alot of you - realise that the system of VSC moving fast to CSC being slow isn't fair but its not the individuals fault.

The being mean to VSC people has to stop.

I understand that it is hard to see someone making a rather short sighted comment. But if you haven't noticed, that happens all over the place on this board in various topics.

Asking someone to tone down for an individual comment is much more appropriate than throwing uncalled for insults at all VSC filers on the whole. I'm sorry someone rubs you the wrong way but please refrain from dragging me into the situation while you deal with it.

Ok, like I said, I don't hate you or make insults...but when someone makes the comment, some people are going to be just that, a person...however, like I said the system needs to be changed, it is just that if people complained to the proper people in massive numbers instead of to the one receiving the beneficial treatment, then maybe the system would be changed to make it a little more fair for the entire community.

It is frustrating for sure, but in this particular case there seems to be a legitimate concern. The OP felt the approval may be beyond his processing center's normal time frame and simply asked whether it was unusual or if they should be worried.

If someone needs bashing, I'll be right there with you! Believe me, I am in the mood. ;) This time, however, I felt it was undeserved.

Of course it was undeserved. The OP was only asking if he should be worried - he wasn't complaining and BTW, he's a newbie and doesn't know what to expect. Constant bashing is rampant on this board and in this case it was totally uncalled for.

I hope you guys are not directing this to me...like I said, I am not going to bash anyone, but whenever enough people are tired of this, they will group together and go to the source and try to get the system changed so that USCIS does not go unchecked as such the case with this process.

It was a general comment (but of course the post calling VSC filers (not your post) "spoiled brats" certainly doesn't help.). People can't chose where they file. The system is not fair. But it's obviously not a filer's fault and doesn't mean he cannot feel free to ask whether or not he should be worried. I waited close to SIX MONTHS for my I-129F petition to be approved because of IMBRA. I know what CSC filers go through and feel like. But again, the constant, undeserved bashing on VJ is tiresome. It doesn't exactly make a newbie feel welcome and comfortable about asking questions in his/her quest to gather information about immigration. And makes me want to tell the OP that there are other, more friendly forums out there like family based immigration dot com or even www.immigrate2us.net

Nope, only the part about bashing deserving people was directed towards you. I figure its something we'd enjoy as a team. You know, like venting on some unsuspecting jerk...
