Hi guys!

I filed for AOS back in late February this year and had my Biometrics mid April after receiving my NO1 back around end of March. Which is the center that processes for filers in the Georgia area? I just wondered if there is any way to contact USCIS to inquire about the current status of your case or if it is just a case of waiting. My husband has just been laid off from his job and I am still waiting to receive work authorization so things are a bit tight right now.

The Atlanta Field Office is the office for Habersham County, Georgia: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/georgia-atlanta-field-office

If you have a current job offer you can request an expedite on the EADhttps://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

You can call USCIS and check on your case with a tier 2 officer. Check processing times and see which filters are getting processed now and have an estimate of how long it’s gonna be for you. If you have a job offer you can expedite EAD. If your husband was your financial sponsor for aos you might wanna consider getting a cosponsor or have your husband find a new job because if you are called in for an interview your husband is probably gonna need to show updated proof of income.

He has been applying since the day he found out he got laid off, the company he was working for pretty much had useless employees and it got to a point where his boss could not afford to pay them. I tried calling the number that shows when you check up on a receipt number and it was just all automated, I was unsure of which option to press. Unfortunately I don't have a job offer, I think if I tried talking to places they wouldn't even consider due to my current status.
