Green Card Mailed, but no tracking number?!?

I got a notice that the card has been mailed, but no tracking number. Is there another way to track green card delivery?

I called customer support to ask for the tracking number, the answer I got was "Your greencard has been shipped but it doesn't look like it has been assigned a tracking number yet". 

 

I tried using Informed Delivery where all of my mail and packages show up automatically without me needing a tracking number first. Didn't work either.

 

My greencard showed up in my mailbox a few days later. It had a tracking number on the label but it was as if it was never used. USCIS couldn't see it in their system and neither could Informed Delivery.

07-21-2017 - AOS online status "card mailed"
07-26-2017 - Greencard in hand

 

So only 5 days.
