Medical appointment and Embassy interview

Again I apologise for maybe repeating something already asked. But navigating through these forums seems difficult at times.

My question is this.......the Embassy interview was already made for July 16th. The medical examination at Knightsbridge will be made tomorrow. Obviously from what I've seen medical appointments are about 4 week's out.

How far behind will that put us doing things in that order, rather than just waiting until the medical appointment is made, switching the Visa interview for about 10 days later, after the medical examination is booked, compared with just keeping it the way it is. Won't that just take longer if she has her medical examination and the documents sent to the Embassy, (after first having Visa interview), and then having the Embassy look at everything and then send her the documents, passport and Visa back to her??

I seem to have read somewhere that this will take longer. Sorry again, just can't seem to find those conversations, links.

I would cancel your interview and re-book it for at least 10 days after your medical. I called Knightsbridge on the 26th of July, and my medical is the 27th of July (earliest appointment).

This takes you out of the flow of things, and the embassy are pretty clear that you don't make an appointment to see them until you've had your medical, hence the advance bookings of the interviews for at least a week after the medical has taken place. The embassy can't approve a VISA without the test results back. Not following the order of things is what causes delays, and that's when errors occur.

Hope this helps.

I can't emphasize enough that following the system plan is the way to go. This is important to you so why jack around with what they tell you to do because you think you may save 3 days or a week? Get it right over get it fast.

Would you have mailed your payment for the petition to USCIS and said, I'll get my application sent in later and they will find my money is already there and figure it out. No you wouldn't risk not having it all there together.

I have done the entire process from K1 petition to US citizenship. An extra week or two is nothing in the big scheme of things even though it seems like it to you now. My advice is change your interview. Don't try to cut corners now.
