Hello All,

I have a question, my wife and I are waiting for our interview at the embassy in Kiev, it is July 3rd, We have a previously issued police certificate that is still valid, we already sent out documents to NVC and they were approved but I was looking at the police certificate and noticed that my wifes last names listed are 1- my last name and 2- her birth last name, she has been previously married and divorced, this last name is not listed on the police certificate.

Is this going to be a problem for the interview, I do not think we have enough time to be able to get a new police certificate before the interview, there are 2 national holidays in Ukraine this week.

Being as NVC already reviewed the documents should we just go with the current certificate?

Any advise would be helpful

Thank you all

Hi..

Police certificate must be issued under ALL names ever used and check list clearly states that.

p.8

Go ASAP to the closest Police Department (or to a Central Office if you are in Kiev) to request a new Police Certificate - they should be able to give you a new one quick enough. Usually they have those options, at least in Kiev - it's just will cost you more for "speeding".

When you request a new certificate, make sure all names ever used are listed in your request - that's on you to mention what names they should search, not on them.

If your new certificate can not be issued by the time of the interview , it won't be a reason for denial, but for delay  - the Embassy will wait till you bring a new one in.

Hope everything will work!

Good luck!!!
