Embassy Review : We had our interview for Spousal visa on July 3rd, 2018. Our appointment was for 8:30 am. I went to the interview with my wife (USC). We arrived at the consulate at 7:30 am and there were already people waiting outside. Mostly appeared to be there for B1/B2 visa applications.

We handed our appointment letter and showed our passports, we went thru security and were assigned a number, we sat in the waiting room for 5-10 minutes and we were called up to the first window, a very nice woman collected all of our original documents, original police certificate and additional evidence of relationship from us, we spent approx 5 minutes at this window, after we were told to sit and a CO would call us.

After 15 minutes a nice man called us to window #12 for the interview, he spoke Engine to me and Russian to my wife, he reviewed all our documents, looked over the I-864 and approved it, he looked thru the photographs I gave the woman at the first window and we were approved.

He returned all papers to us and told us we will receive our visa in the next few days. On CEAC we went thru AP and back to ready and on July 5th, the status changed to issued. We just picked up my wife's documents yesterday, July 10.

It was by far the easiest part of the whole journey. I have to admit, I was a little nervous at the embassy for the interview but it went so smoothly there was nothing to worry about. I will say this.... it is very important to follow the instructions at every step of the procedure, make sure your paperwork is complete and double, triple check everything before you send it in.
Rating : Very Good
