My wife (K1 doing AOS) has her Biometrics appt in 10 days. Do we need to bring anything to this, other than a copy of everything we've already submitted (and the AOS/EAD/AP NOAs) - things like passport photos, medical forms, etc. etc.? I've checked the VJ guides, but there's not much written about the biometrics step - maybe it's just a fingerprinting and nothing more?

I've read mr4422's story on his wife's biometrics meeting... anyone have anything different take place, or a need to bring anything more than he mentions?

05-25-05 : NOA1 date

08-15-05 : CSC says they will look into my delay and I should wait 30 days

08-19-05 : Correspondences sent to congresswoman and senator

08-23-05 : K1 petition approved by USCIS!

09-12-05 : NVC confirms receipt and assigns new case number

09-15-05 : NVC forwards package to embassy in Bogota

09-19-05 : Overnight and fax a Packet 3 response to embassy

09-27-05 : Embassy website shows we have a October interview date

10-03-05 : Packet 4 arrives (still no sign of Packet 3!)

10-06-05 : Packet 3 arrives (days after Packet 4!)

10-26-05 : Interview at embassy in Bogota and visa approved! (5 months)

AOS/AP/EAD Timeline

01-20-06 : AOS/AP/EAD sent to Chicago lock-box

03-08-06 : Received NOA assigning biometrics appointment of 30/Mar

03-24-06 : Received AP document!

03-26-06 : Received received Employment Authorization card with errors (argh!)

04-10-06 : Sent notice/documentation of EAD errors (their fault) to USCIS

04-18-06 : AOS transferred to CA service center

Don't need to take anything but the appointment letter and some form of ID. Biometrics is just where they take your fingerprints and a photograph. Whenever we have been to have them done, it is a lot of waiting for something that takes two minutes.

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

Hi Goodluck! just bring along with you the biometrics appointment letter and Identification Card, like state Id if you dont have one just bring her passport. God bless

Bring your marriage cert with you to show the name change.

Thats the first thing they asked me for at my appointment.

I seen alot of people turned away because they didnt have that document with them

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

I brought my marriage license, NOAs, passport and birth certificate. They refused to process me without the marriage license.

Otherwise, it's a breeze. Bring a book if your appointment is late.

26 January 2005 - Entered US as visitor from Canada.
16 May 2005 - Assembled health package, W2s.
27 June 2005 - Sent package off to Chicago lockbox.
28 June 2005 - Package received at Chicago lockbox.
11 July 2005 - RFE: cheques inappropriately placed.
18 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-485, I-131, I-765 received!
19 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-130 received!
24 August 2005 - Biometrics appointment (Naperville, IL).
25 August 2005 - AOS touched.
29 August 2005 - AP, EAD, I-485 touched.

Just to close out the thread - it was as easy as responders posted.

We had to show an ID, and the NOA appointment letter. We needed her passport to verify her A#.

Nothing additional was required.

I just did mine.

I brought my letter for biometrics, all NOA letters, marriage certificate, passport, and driver license.

Make sure to protect her fingers for the following 10 days. :)

04/04/08 Sent my I-751 to TSC by express mail

04/11/08 Case was transferred to VSC, showed online

05/03/08 Biometric test scheduled

03/29/09 Received ten year green card
