My passport was expired and I renewed in embassy Before I came to USA. later on when I came to USA I found out that my last name in my new passport is not same as before (it is almost part of my middle name and it is not like last name in my birth certificate ) and fix that will take time so I left it as is .in USA they issued my green card with same names based on my passport and same for state ID(driver license) as well .my question is ,if I put that in "other names used before" in N-400 are they gonna ask for evidence? because I don't have my birth certificate now and I can't(hard) bring it from the origin country. I didn't ask to change the last name so it was changes by mistake by embassy , I don't know what I should do for this?also in the GC application I forgot to disclosed previous last name in the "other names used before" so I'm stress and I don't know what I should do? because I heard that make sure you N-400 has same information that you answered in the GC application ,please I need your advice

Thanks williamAR for reply ,I hope you can help me with questions belwo?

1-I forgot to disclosed the origin last name in GC application and put "None" in "other names used before"  ,is that will problem? since I heard they compare your answers in GC application with N-400 ?

2-Actually I found out that my last name(origin one) is exists in my son's birth certificate (as mother last name) which I will need to translate it to English

so the question is ,are they asking for the birth certificate in the n-400 interview? and what I should say  if they find the discrepancy names between my son birth certificate  and my passport?

your help is greatly appreciated
