@DianaLion I think my cousin is in the same scenario his mom became a citizen (marriage) when he was 5 years old but he never received anything. He filed the N600 two times but he procrastinated and never finished the processed for one reason or another. Once we find the information to prove that he lived with her when she became a citizen we will try to file for his passport. He is a permanent resident for now.

@DianaLion What kind of information you sent for the passport and which reason they gave you for it to being denied?

@tennnis123 I wasnt allowed to apply... Like I could but the manager there wouldn't accept my application I went back months later in june and the same lady there was like oh yeah you can do that. ..... So I just gave up on getting my passport. But they do require birth certificate proof of living in the states and proof of parents citizenship sorry I cant be of help on the passport issue I ran into my own road blocks

Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: Tunisia

@Lovie Lovie I didnt have to take an interview just the ceremony and it went well thanks for the support :)

DianaLion:

If you could give us details of what happened during the ceremony such as questions and other details for future applicants who would be in your shoes to find and hopefully it helps them.

Congrats on your process.

Thanks.

@DianaLionThank you so much for sharing your experience. There are too many people who don't read threads completely and distrust everything you say as if you hadn't already tried! They don't understand how bureaucrats in rural and conservative areas of cCalifornia make life so difficult - even just to submit docs for a passport application! I am happy to hear that the N600 was approved for you. My partner was in a similar situation as you and we submitted N600 as well. We recently were notified that they put her in the queue for an Oath Ceremony.

So many licensed attorneys on forums, just like on this forum are so distrusting of the Oath ceremony aspect of the N600 and it's highly upsetting. USCIS website for the N600 even states that any person over age 14 may be scheduled for an oath ceremony if the N600 gets approved, so even licensed attorneys don't read completely! Thanks for sharing that it wasn't an oath ceremony, just the citizenship granting ceremony to get your citizenship.

We still haven't received the notice indicating the date and time. Additionally, processing times for the N600 at the Santa Ana field office are getting longer, so we can't even submit an online inquiry for case outside of processing times since according to CIS, it's still within processing times... Will keep you all updated. DianaLion: how long did it take for oyu to receive the notice that indicated the date time and location of the oath ceremony?

It took at least half a year
