My patience is so thin that I think I'd need an electron microscope to find it. We filed in Aug 2017. In Feb, after many calls and reassurances that our case was "fine", we got an RFIE for more financial evidence. To ensure no more problems, we got a joint sponsor. It's already been almost a month since we sent the paperwork and absolutely NOTHING. I've emailed my senator and the ombudsman (about 2 weeks ago so I know an update might still be on the way). I am just SO sick of sitting around while my husband works his ### off to support both of us. The past month especially has been difficult financially and all I could think about was that if my EAD had come in or the RFIE was sent earlier, we wouldn't be in this position. Sorry this is more of a rant and I encourage anyone else who's been waiting a long time for their combo cards or any updates to rant here too. My only question is when will this h*ell end?!?!?!

Once you were issued the RFE it immediately stopped the processing on the I-765/I-131.  Until they look at the response to the RFE and release the hold, nothing further will occur on your other applications until then.

YMMV

I have been waiting for my EAD for 160 days today. Initiated 2 SRs and it just says a generic, "Your case is currently being review and you should hear within 60 days". I have also reached out to the congresswoman and Ombudsman for help. Waiting for their response. And, have a Infopass appointment scheduled for 4/20. My I-485 status was changed to "Your case is ready to be scheduled for employment based interview" on 3/27 but I've read on this forum that this doesn't mean anything. The wait from when the status changes to 'ready for interview' to the actual interview could be months and months.

The whole application process has been grueling to say the least. Our original PD was 12/23/2016 but our initial application got denied due to a stupid mistake from our immigration lawyer. It took us a full 8 months to be able to refile the I-485, I-765 and I-131 and now, here we are still waiting.
