Good day everyone!

i have read that even if we’re applying for spousal visa, we still need Cenomar. i did apply for it thru NSO helpline for me to save time, money and effort in going to Manila since I’m living here in the province. Before I pay it thru Metrobank, i called again just to have a clarification on it. And so the staff said that whatever written in the Marriage contract will be use as a purpose in cenomar. But when I received the cenomar, my husband’s middle name is wrong on the first letter itself. I have made it corrected but I just found out that my middle initial in the part of “Issued upon the request of “name” for Us Embassy”, my middle initial that they type is M, and not L.

does the US embassy will still look into that part or I need to make PSA look into it again, and rechange it for the second time around?? Should i ask embassy first if they still going to look into it?

It won't be an issue. If asked then explain the error. They may say nothing as the first and last are correct.

Yes the embassy does request a CENOMAR for the immigrant visa, if married the Advisory of Marriage certificate is issued (CEMAR)

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/family-based-immigration/the-interview/

CERTIFICATE OF NO MARRIAGE (if applicable). Applicants who are single and have never been married (18 years and older) are required to obtain a CENOMAR from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The request for a CENOMAR is a standard measure adopted in Manila to ensure that a visa applicant does not have any concealed, unterminated prior marriage to anyone, which would eliminate his / her claim to the single status of the visa category sought. To request a CENOMAR be directly submitted to the US Embassy (recommended), you may do so here: https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Secure/Terms.aspx

As for minor typos I doubt the embassy will have too much issue with this, but one never knows, every CO is different.

Actually I do have the cenomar, but what i’m asking if they really look at that part of cenomar whereas it says “issues upon the request of” like is has mistake here

Ah ..    There is no mistake in the CENOMAR itself .. just in the section regarding who requested it.     Can't see anyone at the embassy carrying about that section.  As said before you won't know for sure until you are standing in front of the CO for the interview.  I just don't see them having issue.   IMHO

Do note that the Philippines is known as a high fraud country, do mostly to phony documents, which is why when the embassy has doubts they will request a new document, having it sent directly from PSA or NBI to them.

First typo error, they made the middle name of my hubby as Dee instead of Lee. And i did go to the office of PSA, to correct it. And i received it yesterday, i havent seen it all, until earlier this morning when i checked it out again, it says “issued upon the request of eleamor M. Pokorny” my name now is eleamor L. Pokorny” like the first cenomar they gave to me is my hubby’s middle name is wrong and mine is absolutely fine. Then now, they corrected my hubby’s part and made mine wrong. Like does US embassy will still give importance of that part in cenomar, like it has mistake of my middle initial in the part of “issued upon the request of”? Or they will not care about wrong Middle initial?

As said before I (and Greenbaum) don't see the embassy carrying about the typo.  IMHO

But no one here can give you a serious YES or NO answer to this .. only the embassy knows the factual answer.

Don't stress on it.  If it really bugs you get it corrected .. again.  If not, they wait for the interview ..

I think you are worrying too much.

How if the first name type not complete. The last 2 letters are missing.

As @Hank_ replied to @LeiLa Pokorny we don't see it as an issue. But, we are not the CO who is adjudicating your case so we don't know what he/she will see and ask for a correction. It's been my experience that it doesn't really become and issue so correcting it before the interview is up to you. But for me, I'd let sleeping dogs lie.

My friend name in her Cenomar was type wrongly. Instead Princess, it became Prince. Is it big issue to US embassy?
