How long should we wait before contacting someone?

We sent our I-130 to London, doing DCF, on March 28th. It was signed for but we have not gotten an email or notice or receipt of any kind- I know the correct form and correct email address were provided in the packet. I thought it was supposed to be within 10 days but I can't place where I got that information from. At what point should we contact them to make sure they have it. We can't track it through payment as we did an international bank draft so it's pre-paid essentially and we can't see any proof of them taking payment. I know it hasn't been that long yet, we just want to make sure we avoid any delays as we are on a tight schedule for getting our son in school back in the states and ideally would like to go back as a family or with as little time apart as possible. ( I know it's common to spend time apart and we have done the visa thing twice already, just not this particular one or way which is why we have lots of questions.) Thanks!

We sent an email to the USCIS email at the embassy yesterday and got a response back with our NOA1 saying it was being processed. So we will look out for our NOA2 in the mail, hopefully in the next few weeks. The NOA is dated April 13th and it was signed for on March 29th.

This is is the email we used:

USCIS.london@uscis.dhs.gov

I sent an email saying we had not received a notice of receipt and wanted to make sure it wasn’t lost. Provided our full names, citizenship, and birthdates. Got an automatic reply and an email with the NOA attached to it.
