Expired GC, Expired Extension Letter HELP?

March of 2017 filer at dreadful slow CSC. Green card expired, extension will expire in June. My husband will need to get a stamp. I have reloaded Infopass a million times a day, all hours of the day and NOTHING seems to be available. Now I know i still got until 2 weeks before expire date before it can be done (no sooner correct?) but i fear we wont get appointment so i have been checking over and over, just to get an idea of how hard its going to be to get an appointment. Question is.. we have an appointment tomorrow for biometrics on the N400 , is a stamp something they would do at this appointment? What does one need to bring for it?  Thanks in advanced.

First there’s no magic timeframe to get the stamp. Your lawful permanent residency status remains unchanged until it is adjudicated no matter how long it takes. The extension is evidence of your status just in case you need it for travel or employment. With that being said try scheduling around midnight as that’s when it refreshes. You can also try your luck at your biometrics appointment. Though they mostly will want your appointment letter to get to you but if they’re not busy you might be lucky.

Adjustment of Status From F-1 Visa.

8/14/2014: Mailed AOS package: I-130, I-485, I-765.

8/18/2014: Accepted in Chicago. Transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

8/21/2014: Received NOA 1. I-130, I-485, I-765 in mail.

8/25/2014: Received biometrics in mail. Scheduled for 9/8/2014

9/24/2014: EAD approved. 36 Days!

10/01/2014: EAD mailed.

10/03/2014: Received EAD card.

10/14/2014: I-485 moved to testing and interview.

1/28/2015: Interview scheduled for 3/4/2015.

1/31/2015: Received interview notice.

3/4/2015: Interview completed and APPROVED!

3/5/2015: Welcome notice mailed and I-130 Approved.
