Stranger things have happened, but I think in this case even if you two are truly in love, you'd never get anywhere without seeing each other first. I still think that if you are serious about this that you look in to having your guy friend get a tourist visa.

Unfortunately a tourist visa from nigeria to america would be very difficult to impossible to be granted.

If you home county is a certain country it is necessary to prove that you will not overstay because you have strong ties to your home country mostly this is financial ties, and it does not appear that they have much money. If you can not prove this then no tourist visa. It would be much less difficult to meet on holiday in his home country, russia, or europe if he can get a schengen visa.

Its sad we have not had any update from her.

You definitely need to meet in person. Not only because it's a requirement for the visa, but also because it would be a shame to go through the whole process to only find out that you and your fiance are not as compatible as you thought. You can't be certain that you guys will hit it off until you actually spend time together in person. I met my fiance online. We talked for nearly 6 and a half years before we met in person. We spent about six months face to face before we became engaged. We haven't been approved yet, but we're on our way.

Hello Everyone. I was very pleased to find this site.

My fiance and I met on the internet about a yar ago. We have been talking every since, and have come to love eachother very much (L) . We havent been able to meet in person just yet because I am in college and working. We plan on filing a I-29F form soon as I get the money. But I wonder if the embassy will grant us the visa, since we have not met in personj yet :help: .

Peter and I talk on the phone and have webcameras that use everyday to see eachother live.

To make matters more urgent, we want a baby. But When I was 17 I was diagnosed with Ploysytic Ovary Disease. And my doctors told me that the longer I wait the harder it will be for me to have achild until it is impossible :crying::( .

Does anyone have any information for us, or have filed for their fiance that they met over the internet? I'd appreciate any advice you could give thanks.....

First, I would advise you to read through the Guides at the top of this website. Read up on the K1. Read up on the other types of visas you can apply for....ONCE you have met the requirement of meeting face to face within two years of filing. If you file now, your application will not even make it out of the service center - it will be sent back to you rejected. I understand about being in college and not having much money...but the requirement is clear and it stands as it is. There have been suggestions to meet in a third country...that might be less expensive for both of you and it would satisfy the meeting face to face requirement.

Another thing to consider since finances seem to be a problem for you - you and your beloved need to also look at the costs incurred with going through this process. Those fees, as well as finding a co sponsor if needed, the costs for flying back and forth, and the months of not being able to be employed (should your petition be a successful one and you are finally married) while waiting for employment authorisation, etc. There are many factors to seriously consider when starting out on this journey.

I also have PCOS and I had a baby at the age of 36 so it's NOT impossible the older you get. I've lived with this disease since 1989 so I know it's not as bleak as it sounds. With the amount of technology we have today, there are many ways of achieving the goal of having a child.

Best wishes to you both. I hope a solution to the situation is found - it's very hard to be away from the one you love so much. :)
