And my next question is what paperwork do they require you to Send in?  I know you choose an agent and pay your fees and submit your application but what paperwork will they need from us?? Thank U guys so much in advance we are doing this process by her self without an attorney in this website has helped me so much!!

NVC is very backed up right now, if your case is a pivot case it may take longer to get the case #, generally you can call NVC and check and see if the case # is ready.

It took 3.5 weeks to get my case number once NVC received the papers.

here is an example of the NVC check list. once you have a case you can go in and chose an agent, once you get the welcome letter you can go pay the AOS fee, after you chose the agent the next day you can call NVC and have them review the agent choice, about 3-4 days after that depending on if a weekend or a weekday, you can go and pay the IV bill. Once that has processed you will be able to fill out the IV application and then submit the documents. Making sure that you print off the welcome letter, and the cover sheet for the AOS papers.

DO NOT go get the medical exam until you have gotten the paper from NVC, I only say that as many have asked that question that is something that can't be done yet.
