Rejection

So today I got my AOS petition back ( took the whole week to get to me) and it seems like ALL if it was rejected even though the rejection seems to be about Employment and Advance Parole.
But I am confused about number of things...

1. I enclose what they wrote in the first rejection notice below - incorrect payment, my payment was correct, it was $1225 but looks like they were not happy about who I wrote it out to..
I wrote to ''US Department of Homeland Security'' and now I have a stamp on top - ''U.S. Department of Homeland Security Citizenship and Immigration Services'' - is that a problem you think?

2. what is it that they want : 'please resubmit your Form I-765 with a copy of your Form I-485 receipt notice (I-797)', how can I do it if they rejected my I-485 as well??

3. Should I fill out all the papers from scratch? The whole packet is not in the order that I sent it in, some papers are missing like Certified Marriage Certificate and copy of photos and papers are clipped together in ways that don't make any sense to me...

4. I received a brown envelope together with a packet , called M-708, Envelope for Documents and Other Items and the envelope is sealed... Does somebody knows what is in it?? Can I open it?

Thank you for any answers, I feel quite discouraged...

This has never happened to me but if i was you i would resend a packet again.

Did you submit any form i765 the first time?

The payment was rejected maybe just by a misspelling or maybe it wasnt clearly written out.

Be very detailed oriented.

Ill check this post again to see if you need any additional help. Dont be discouraged . This is just an obstacle that will be overcome. What city do. you live in? Maybe their is a low cost church that helps with immigration forms?

In many latin communities you can have lawyers review your forms for $100 to make sure everything is perfect.

Also what visa are you adjusting status from maybe the elegibilty code is incorrect?

Hi! Thank you for encouragement and your response!

The rejection is for i765 and i131 for lack of payment. Strangely, not for i485 - but it got obviously rejected as the cheque never got cashed. I'm adjusting from K-1 so the eligibility code should be ok.

I live in a small city in PA but the church is not an option even though I am happy latin communities have this kind of support.

I would like to have this kind of attitude that it is just an obstacle to overcome!! Will keep that in mind. Thank you!

Have you tried going to a small immigration.office and have them just tell you what is wrong with the forms? Unfortunately it seems like something is wrong with the forms and thats hard to.correct online on a forum.

Hopefully someone has dealt with this and can offer direct help.

Hey if this helps I got the same notice you have to resend every single thing all over. when they sent me this they did not send me back all my proof I sent so meaning I had to re send it they probably threw it all away since they denied it. So to be safe resend everything and it sayin incorrect fee I believe its a generic message as in the noa1 it will state what you paid and you have to send the noa1 for i485 with the re submission of the  I-765

wow, I wondered if there was sb else who experienced that. They took away my Certified Marriage Certificate but haven't checked everything yet to be honest.
Can I ask you - was your packet thick, full of additional info and did it get back to you stapled in strange ways? So you basically did everything from scratch??

It was a very thin white envelpoe it stated they sent back my supporting documents but they did not they just sent me back the aplication and at the bottom showing me it was the outdated version . So the extra envelope idk what was that for .So yea i did not assume that they still have my documents since it was rejected causing me to send it agin with all documents needed even though it will be under the same case number since we are responding back with the green paper they send  if that makes sense . :)

I almost got everything back and it was thick because my application had tons of additional information. I was curious if your application had a lot of supporting documents or you stuck to the basics? and in the rejection letter they told you your forms were outdated or not?

I am so embarrassed to admit - I discovered eventually what the issue was and it was totally and entirely our fault...
The reason why my EAD and AP were rejected was that we did not send AOS petition at all! We were in such a hurry to get to Fedex on time that we did not have a final check and 18 page petition just stayed in one of our folders...
