I-130 Interview in foreign country / Spouse in US - HELP

remember you already paid 450.00 to the nvc

so you'll have 325.00 to adjust status and 180.00 for EAD. EAD can take 90 days or more .....or less.

I spose if you do aos in the end you'll save the cost of travel.

Good Luck whatever you choose

EAD will take at least 90 days. If your wife could earn more than $1,200 in two months (the difference between getting the green card through the interview and getting EAD) then you'd actually be saving money by having her fly to the Philippines and do the interview. As soon as she returned with the CR1 visa in her passport, it would get endorsed at point of entry and she could work right away - you wouldn't have to wait for the green card in the mail for her to work legally. To me personally, I would go that route as I would rather work sooner, save money, and avoid the hassle of AOS. I don't know how your wife feels about the travel and the stress of the interview - that might outweigh the money savings for her.

my spouse had an i-129f interview on APR 4, 2007.

she receives her VISA on APR 9, 2007

she came to US on APR 20, 2007..

we receive a mail from USCIS that she'll be having her interview on MAY 16, 2007 in her foreign country.

we plan on filing the Adjustment of Status on MAY 4, 2007

if we did file the adjustment of status, does it mean she does not have to go back to her foreign country to attend her interview?

Yes, it is entirely your choice at this point. You may wish to notify the Embassy that you are adjusting status and ask them to expedite returning the file to USCIS, stateside.

how do expedite the interview? do i call Manila US Embassy? or call USCIS/NVC?

Expedite what interview? I thought you wanted to adjust status in the US. Otherwise, you better expedite yourself to the airport, IMMEDIATELY LIKE NOW because the interview is very soon.
