If you just recently applied for the DV lottery, you will likely know the results of the K1 petition before you know the lottery results depending on when you applied. You can apply for both visas at the same time, and being denied the K1 or not being picked for the DV shouldn't have an effect on the other/future petitions.

Not sure when you applied for both visas, so it's hard to say which interview will be first.

If you are going through the visa process and will be interviewing in Casablanca, Morocco, join us over at the

create a timeline by going to the Aziz&astroia name at top right hand corner and hitting (clicking ) the arrow to the right

it will bring a dropdown site to click on timeline and make one
