Almost 11am and still waiting. This is nerve racking for sure. Worked last night and i want to close my eyes but i cant. Is this normal for it to take this long?

Breath. I will be nervous too. But they all seems to have the same time for the appointment (why it might take so long for him). So keep a positive mindset

Well they didn’t ask my fiance anything except for the evidences together like pictures. It is probably ok to wait this long it all depends on who they have with them because phone is not alowed.

Apparently a lot of questions but it was more of a conversation, where we met, how we met? And why are we getting married? What are we planning to do? We are young so they why so young? But all in all it was easy questions!

Its with a heavy heart that i say we were approved because apparently my fiance forget the second part to his birth certificate (extrait) at home. Im extremely upset at him as i went over everything he should of had in his folder. For some reason he doesnt seem to think this will delay the processing of the visa but i think it will. Soooo upset right now.

I meant the affidavit of support when I say AOS, I know the adjustment of status comes whenever he gets here! Thank you though!!

Thank you so much. I told my fiancé that this site has been such a stress reliever .... it can also make you a little paranoid lmao but it’s relieving

You weren’t approved? Or they approved you conditionally?

Ohh sorry my bad, yes you do have to fill an affidavit of support once he gets here its part of the adjustment of status process and I believe it’s the form I-864.

And do you have any news if the visa is ready yet?

No update... so this is where my fiancé and I have been having trouble getting on the same page... the request for dhl is only for the passport right? And the visa will come separately?

We were approved they just told him to bring it to a dhl location for it to be fowarded to the embassy. But i just dont know if that will mean a delay for us. The lady at dhl said the embassy would receive the paperwork tomorrow

Ohh man that’s unfortunate because you don’t even need the actual birth certificates it’s always the (extrait) in Haiti. It will cause delay because they have to send it to the embassy first but it won’t be that long. You can track it online to see.
