Backround check in Mexico form

Hi! My wife was told she would need to present her backround check(antecedentes penales) from mexico in her interview in Juarez MX. The systems to get that form is currently down according to Mexico PGR. They said its been down for 3 weeks already but our Juarez interview is in a week. What do we present to tge immigration officers if we cant get that form? Please help asap!

You can only present what you have.  Many times, the CO will conduct the interview, then issue a 221g slip stating the visa will be issued after receiving the missing documents.

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

- Some old child of the 50's & 60's on his laptop 

 

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yes.  She will have to wait until her passport is returned to her with the issued visa placed inside......

In our case (another country), my wife was given a 221g for a missing document. She still received her passport & visa 4 days later.

I wasn't aware that you could get those online. Are you sure? My wife had to get hers in person in Jalisco. I know others have either had to get theirs in person in Mexico City as well or pay for services that go to the office in person and then mail you the certificate. These services aren't cheap at around $300 but still cheaper than a plane ticket.

06/24/2017: Mailed I-130

06/27/2017: NOA1 (technically a RFE as we were missing beneficiary ID)

07/06/2017: NOA2

07/12/2017: Case assigned by Juarez embassy

07/17/2017: Packet 3 received

08/15/2017: Interview/Approval!

08/22/2017: Visa received via DHL

09/03/2017: POE

09/16/2017: Permanent Resident Card received

 

Total days from NOA1 to approval: 49
