Hello,

I been married with an US citizen for 9 years, I have a Permanent Green Card.

My marriage is not going that well, and I hope it does not have to go to divorce, but i want to educate myself in case it does.

I applied for citizenship 2 months ago and I already went to do the biometrics.

I was wondering, if I get divorced, will that interrupt or stop my citizenship goals?

another question, if i dont get the citizenship (lets say i failed the test), can i reapply to renew my citizenship? or it wont be possible because i get divorced?

Thank you

If you've been a permanent resident for more than 5 years and filing under the 5 year rule, your divorce doesn't matter.

The civic test for citizenship is extremely easy, if your naturalization application doesn't get approved, it won't be because of the test. Just be well prepared for the documents they want, such as tax records. And if you do eventually get a divorce, you may be asked to submit the divorce decree.

Sorry, i should have said, can I still renew my greencard after the 10 years?  (my greencard will expire on 2020)

Yes.  Being divorced 10 years later does not stop you from being allowed to renew the green card.
