My wife's interview started in Spanish. One of the first questions was "do you speak English." She replied with a tentative yes, after which the interviewer switched to English. She had to scramble to recover as she hadn't spoken much English in the preceding 6 months. She passed though, but not without a lot of sweat on her brow.

I will tell him to say a little. He understands a lot as do I of Spanish but speaking is another thing

I was replying to someone else that already went through the k1 process. We both have a child so I want to do k1 to make sure they like living here in the US so I will have to wait.
