In my part, I treat people online nicely as I treat them in person. I dont want to pretend as somebody online because I want people expect who I am both online and offline. I just dont want to be rude to people even I dont know them personally and be nice as much as possible.

Look, surely you must have expected a reaction to what you wrote, no? Clearly this seems to be rooted in the MENA forum, maybe? Interesting that some say this is just text and words and everything is emotion-less. But if someone says f**k you there seems to be some emotion behind that, in my opinion. And if it appears that people are getting offended from what is considered emotion-less typing, or text and words, or whatever, I feel that is even more reason for that person to address others with courtesy. The online communication is only different by means of typing instead of being verbal. Which is why I wish these people would smack their choppers in real life because the outcome would be totally different.

And I know this is online and it’s nothing to get bent out of shape about, but this is not a chat room for teenagers. This is an informational forum where people experiencing this journey come together to seek advice and to share advice. If someone doesn’t know the difference between a f**king I-130 and an I-129f , just politely tell them what the difference is, because that is why they came here. Sure they could have read it from somewhere else, but they didn’t so what? But people are so rude here, and they would say smart things like “go Google it and you will find out” or “I’m assuming you didn’t read your paperwork.” But wait…this is the icing on the cake …they would post their reply AFTER SOMEONE ALREADY ANSWERED THE OP. I mean seriously, nobody wants to read that extra bullsh*t. (Note: I am not referring to anyone that has posted a question like this on a form, this is clearly an example.)

So this is what I am talking about when I refer to rude. And of course people who attack other’s opinions like this is some damn high school debate. My overall point here is if people post something that you think is stupid or something that you don’t like then BY ALL MEANS, DO NOT REPLY. I am sure someone will answer the OP with more respect than you can. And some individuals think they are slick and they try to sneak in a tablespoon of “smart mouth” in addition to their reply…um…not cute or funny.

But these are my observations and my opinions because what I consider rude, others might think is just mandy-dandy. And if someone wants to duke it out in real life then so be it, because people don’t like to be disrespected, whether online or in person. Majority of the time I can be the bigger person and not fall to that other person’s level of ignorance, but I can slip through the cracks. I mean some of the stuff that people say on here, my worst enemy would not say to me. We are all adults here…right? So where is the respect? There is none. I feel some people need to learn, especially if they are getting too comfortable on their keyboard.
