Guild Wars is free. I played the trial for a bit last year. Very, very pretty graphics and cool storylines.
I wish those MMORPG don't have a monthly service fee.

EDIT: Woops, sorry - I didn't notice quick enough that someone else had already suggested Guild Wars.

Yep, my hubby likes Guild Wars alot, he hopes to sway me over to play with him sometime....I told him once my WoW character hits 70 :P

I haven't played video games in a while, but my favorite was a game called "Thief". The sequal "Thief 2" was also very good. I also played "Half Life" a lot. FPS is the only type I ever really got into. From the first time I played "Duke Nukem" I was hooked.

Remember Duke's famous line, "Where IS it???!!!" :P I worked on an interactive show years ago and we used the same voice actor for some of the characters. Duke Nukem rocked!

For a DOS game that came on floppy disks it was very good. I liked the strip bar where you can throw dollar bills at the dancer. If you did it enough it turned into a monster!

Thief was AWESOME! There was actually a 3rd thief game but it was not very good...I still have thief and thief 2 but neither of them run in XP...even in compatability mode...btw there is a program out there that WILL let you play good ol' Duke on XP >)

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Silent Hill besides myself.

I never really got into that - I played the first game for the PS1 but the controls were too hard. Kept getting killed by these flying creatures and it was hard to aim the crappy six shot pistol to kill them.

I've heard the Silent Hill 4 is pretty good for the Xbox, but the storyline is rather nasty (I guess like the movie). If you liked that you might like Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Its pretty atmospheric like that.

Best games I've played to date is probably Fallout 1&2 by a now defunct studio - Black Isle. Some of the same people went on to do the two Knights of the Old Republic games for the Xbox. Really worth a look - even if you don't like Star Wars. The writing (far far better than George Lucas could do with the movies) and gameplay is top-notch. Some of the same designers now work for Bethesda Softworks - they have a new project coming out for the Xbox 360 called Mass Effect which looks really promising.

A few years ago I might have really got into Elder Scrolls Oblivion - but those games just take too much of an investment in time. Had that problem with Morrowind. Interesting game - huge game world, but a real life-stealer if you let it and these days I can't play a game for that long without feeling like I've totally been wasting my time.

Still haven't joined the MMPORG bandwagon - though any self-respecting fan of Robert E. Howard should probably check out Age of Conan. I would... if the game wouldn't fry my laptop.

the only game i would play semi-obsessively was Oddworlds (abe's oddessy and abe's exodus). that guy was so freakin cute. i get bored easily, and if something doesnt grab me right away - it will just sit never to be played again.

There were a couple of sequels to that - Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath. All of them very off the wall.

I played Everquest for 5 years...then they changed it :(

I started playing computer games way back with diablo, diablo2, warcraaft, star craft, Ultima Online, and then to Everquest...I hated the changes they made after Brad left also.

Have waited a long time for Vanguard Saga Of Heroes to come out (also made by Brad) but with a new husband at home don't have much time to play and the monthy fee I just can not justify right now so it will have to wait some more..so right now I am playing Sleuth and a few other free games I have found online.

OUR K-3 INTERVIEW WAS ON NOV. 1ST @ 10:00!!!

VISA APPROVED!!!

WE ARRIVE IN THE USA ON NOV. 10TH!!!
