NVC Notice of missing item

Hello all,

 

We received an email from NVC with that title asking us to pay fees submit documents etc... We haven't submitted our documents yet so we are a little surprised. Should we be worried? 

We had an issue with the cosponsor (we live abroad) so we are figuring that out. I thought we had about a year since petition approval to send the docs to NVC ?

No need to worry. it is a courtesy email. However, please be aware that there is a mandatory 1 year requirement that you will need to get in touch with NVC via phone or email in order to keep your case active. otherwise, it will be considered that you abundant the case and it  will be closed and you will have to do the process all over again. Also, you can submit the payments as needed and submit documents whenever you are ready.
