Green Card Interview Location

Hello all! Hope everyone's new year is going well.

So I was reading over my interview notice and was surprised to find that the address listed is not the address of my local office, but it is an office within the same city.

Is this normal? And I take it I should assume my interview notice is correct?

I called the customer help line and they said they only had record of the office that I visited for my biometrics on their screen but if the interview notification says to go to the other location to plan to arrive early at the other location and then if it's incorrect drive to the other one (they're about eight minutes drive apart).

If anyone has encountered similar situations I'd love to hear about them.

Biometrics is done at the Application Support Center (ASC) which may or may not be located anywhere near the USCIS field office.

YMMV

My biometrics appointment was in Revere, MA (20min north of Boston), and my AOS interview was in Lawrence, MA (40min north of Boston).

The address on my interview NOA was correct. Seeing as they're so close, it sounds like you've got the right idea of following the invitation you received and just be early!

Good luck

Thanks. I was just confused because in Montana the ASC and Local Office are in the same address but my Interview Location is listed as another. I'll definitely be early, it's 4 hours from where I live so due to it being a morning appointment we're arriving the night before.

But my point is the Application Support Centre is in this case located in the address my local field office is at, but the address on the Interview Notice is not the same as the address of the USCIS Local Office.

They may have a satellite office for interviews.

YMMV

I guess so, I was just a little freaked out that the USCIS Customer Service line hadn't heard of the other address but no worries now.
