I see posts on this website from sex to everything else under the sun and for some reason I alwys get someone coming in and making their own assumption as to my intentions of my thread - I find that down right wrong! I will continue to post and to defend my right to do that and if I feel something someone says is wrong, well then i will tell you that too. It is my thread and I know what my intentions were in everyone of them. But I will tell you all that I am a little tired of having to defend my every thread because people just can not get the jist of the thread. Read this next statement and understand it or don't - "we all make the choice to open our own minds beyond our own thoughts and we all have the right to think before we speak words that sometimes are out of line!"

First let me apologize for my bluntness Aicha, but the one thing that is consistent among all your threads is YOU. Blame the consulate, blame the posters here. Everyone seems just not to get you.

Just because you don't put the words 'I need advice/what should I do?' doesn't mean we're 'not allowed to comment'.

Even if the OP is not looking for advice, there are others reading who may be or will be in a similar situation that *do* want to hear some varied opinions. Isn't that part of the point of putting things on the message board - so others who come after you can benefit? Speaking in general, I don't think the OP really has the right to limit the types of responses to a thread since the OP isn't the only one who benefits from his/her thread.

I do not put limits on any thread - you are all free to say what you wish, but it should be said in general terms - I wanted to help others with a simple warning - if people want to come after me for something I did wrong - then by all means do it - but here I was just giving an "experienced warning" - why should anyone be given the right to continually come after someone for just trying to help - is it not enough that I am just trying to help with out having to be blasted and get told - "I do not know why you post it here, we can't help you, call the California state bar." It is like you all assume people are only posting for advice or something - some people are just posting to give help or warnings - that's all.

So you got screwed over by your lawyer... report it and move on.... there are 1000's of people that this happens to..... Now if someone was to come on here and say "I am thinking of going to see "insert name of your lawyer here" then yes you may feel the need to warn them of your expirence with this lawyer... your post comes over as very angry and full of attitude.... not the best way to help others or endeer yourself to anyone who might wish to reply....

My advice would be that unless you have very unique situations, you can do everything the lawyer's office would do yourself.

I am not out to blame anyone unless it is deserved - I am just asking you all to open your eyes to your own mouths, but maybe that is too much to ask - and the only time I have ever had this happen is at this particular group - so maybe you should ask WHY? there is a lot of closed minds here and everyone seems so bent on jsut throwing out advice that most times they do not even read all the words being said - you want me to start going back through and pulling those out - I am here to help others and yes, to get some advice in some areas too, but it is merely the way a lot of you choose to do it - it seems some of you jsut do not stop to think about your words or how you say them - this has nothing to do with ME anymore , but of course, you all will think what you want - it has to do with there always seems to be one person who has to throw in an unnecessary comment without thinking about what they are saying and then God forbid - I come back and defend what I was doing! It seems to me the touchy is not on me, but on all of you because you also for some reason can not take a comment back on yoru statements!

I have had a lot of people come to me off this forum because they are scared or nervous to write anything here. So there are also thousands of people who come and just want to read - not post - therefore, guess what the warning is there for those who need it - and believe it or not a lot of people appreciate that. My post was an experience and rightfully so, when I hear some others contacting the same person and getting some pretty rediculous things said to them - in the future remind me to not have emotion when posting anything. What do you think your post comes across as? Why can't it just be seen as a post of experience and warning - and excuse me but experience has emotions.

At least a good place to find a lawyer who paid the expenses to be listed in martindalehubbard.

I think everyone has a point here. First of all the OP is clearly upset, and with good right. The jist of her message could prove as a cautionary tale to noobs to the process....'just cos you hire a lawyer doesn't mean you shouldn't actively manage your case & keep on top of it'

However, Becca does have a point too....OP, we all read your frustration at what's going on with your case. Just because you don't put the words 'I need advice/what should I do?' doesn't mean we're 'not allowed to comment'. I think you're a little touchy on that score...and it's clear in this thread and others you've made.

But arguing over the money aspect seems kinda silly...the lawyer's fee is the lawyer's fee...OP didn't set the fee, and 'well the laywer was cheap' is a pointless argument.

Good Lord - for one - I think I have a right to be a little touchy as you say - but it seems to me - no matter what I try to post on this board - I seem to not do it right enough for anyone. READ your first paragraph again - that was the only thing I was trying to do - give a warning and now that my complaint has been officially filed - the names of Holmes and Lolly is correct.

You can all post until your heart's content, but really sometimes you all should listen to yourself. And I do not care about the fee - I was not the one who started the argument on that - I was just stating how much I paid - it did not need to be brought back with a snide comment from someone else.

I start out my threads and it seems that there is always someone who comes in with snide remarks or blame or making accusations without asking - I find that rediculous - sorry if you do not.

Never let these replies upset you! I learned here from someone that was seriously trying to piss me off on here. It is what they thrive on. I realized that no matter what you say on here, there are always people who will try to distort and twist things for their own enjoyment just to watch the reaction. Big whoppee-do! They almost stirred a little irritation in me at one time. And I started to act like them passing insults and posting long replies. It was a waste of my time all together. So I don't even bother to reply anymore. I'll post something, whatever comes afterwards, I don't even bother to see what is said. If it doesn't involve the serious of my visa process, I'm not taking it seriously. This is all just letters and characters on a computer screen for me. No use in letting it cause upset for you. My signature says it all for me!

Sorry for the bad attorney experience. I personally do not care for one of them. Money is the basis of their actions. Talk all sweet to you, take your money, and they treat their clients like they're disease-ridden!

Yanno what lady? You need to stop with the whole 'I am helping the masses and you're not' excuse. Cos JUST LIKE WHAT YOU SAID....many post, but more read...so MAYBE just MAYBE there's one in your situation who thinks 'hrmmm, what should I do?' and saying 'contact the California Bar' is EXCELLENT advice.

If you want to sit and make your speeches from your pulpit without comment, start a blog. If you want to interact with people, calm the heck down and see the comments for what they are. You're not on trial here, so stop bein so damn defensive.

Yes Expirence has emotion but you dont need to take out your bitterness on the people of this board... so you posted a warning..... well thank you for that.... I have seen many many people come and go since I found this site.... some good, some bad, some who need lots of help, some who are here to learn, some who think they need to re-educate everyone to their way of thinking and some who just love to cause upset and anger....

Please feel free to put yourself into one of the above catagories....

Thank you so much for your words - they are truly appreciated. I guess my problem is that I want so much to help others and I thought that all the people here were here for the same reason - I never want to see others hurt or having to go through anything I did - I just keep asking myself , Why is that so wrong? I grew up believing you should never back down from people who are hurtful, but I think this time I am beginning to wonder abou that philosophy on this website. The last thing I want is to be a person who hurts others - I will just continue to do my best to help people whetehr some appreciate or not. Thank you again for your words of advice.
