My husband  and I are September filers, we  had our interviews  on Tuesday seperately, as expected. And we both passed, got our approval notifications. So far whole process was went synchronized for both of us, every single appointment etc was given on the same date/ same time/same location.

On Tuesday, before starting our N400 interview my husband got family application notifier for us, so that IO can arrange the oath ceremony together. What happened now is quite different, my husband got his oath letter for January 9 already! And my application is under quality review since Tuesday when we check on EGov (elis).

Strangely, when I check through myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov it shows my approval, and we should wait for the oath ceremony date.

We are very happy and sad at the same time. So far everything went smooth.

This is a big big thing for our family, and will not be able to get our certificates together.

What should we do? Should husband apply for deferral request? If so how can we even get the same dates??? :( Is there anyone we can talked to about this?

Thanks for the support!

There are no guarantees you would get the same dates.  You should both feel happy to be getting Citizenship.  Definitely would not ask for a deferral.  Try looking at it this way, of all the important events in life, will NOT getting citizenship on the same day effect your lives in any way?

You are definitely right, that's why we are quite happy about the outcome.

This is 16 year long journey to this point with my husband, and we were always, always together at every single step.

Top of it,  officer was also quite convincing that they always arrange couples together for the ceremonies, so we were in high expectations.

Is there any way we can learn more about "quality check on their decision" status?

We just want to know how long it is gonna take this quality check step?
