I am came to USA 2013 on b1. While applying to the visa my agent filed in paper that I married but I am not. Last year I married here and I applied for the adjustment of status. My interview is scheduled.  Whai I expect in the interview? Is anything to worry?

Technically, this is not a material misrepresentation so it shouldn't be an outright permanent ban. However, I wouldn't be surprise if they look very closely at your case and to verify that everything is above board because the presumption will probably be that you made a misrepresentation to help your case getting a visa in the past (and therefore may be doing so again). I don't know what agent you used, but you're the one ultimately responsible for your visa application so if they did it or you did it doesn't matter.

  • (Non-material) Misrepresentation on marital status to get a visa
  • Overstayed visa
  • Unauthorized work?

None of the above is technically a cause for denial in itself as the IR of a USC. But I would still expect additional scrutiny if your marriage is just to bypass immigration laws (i.e. to get a green card). Be ready with plenty of bona fide marriage evidence.

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received
