Just received an email from NVC that now they want my husband's military records.  He was in the reserve in Sao Paulo, and the only thing we have is a military card that got stamped. I don't even now how we could translate this document.  I will have to contact our lawyer to find out what to do.  I wish i could understand why the NVC don't look at our case as a whole and then tell us all the documents needed one time.   Now once we submit this, the clock starts all over again.   I am now getting worried that our case will reach it's 1 year mark (which will be in March) and all the documents we submitted will be outdated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually for CR1 and IR1 as we had as long as you continue to stay in touch with NVC you will not expire

our case was in NVC over a year as we conitinually had to fill out I 864 as they did not want to count my untaxable inheritance (taxes paid on it in year i recieved it and therefore not taxable when i took out money each month)

anyway,  keep in touch with them and it does not expire / seems like my emails and letters from this told me of this so look carefully over the correspondence from them to confirm
