Green card holders can be asked to get an "exemption" for the travel tax .. they nail them for about P200 to do this, plus the fun of waiting in line.

 

I went home last April 2017. GC holders don't need to pay P200 anymore for the exemption. I even asked them if I can get 2 for my trip to Thailand while I was there. (just went to get them at SM North EDSA while hanging out with the family. 2 birds with one stone. And no line, too!)

Yes I heard that from someone else also.   Still seems silly to need a certificate for this, when looking at the passport and seeing the person has been in the Philippines less than a year thus exempt.    All this little stuff that can cause delays if you don't know about it.

I can confirm that the P200 is no longer charged at either MNL or Clark. And when going thru MNL for the exemption you want to go to the left most person at the counter in Terminal 3
