I went for my medical before coming to the USA on my k1 visa. At the medical in London, the physician told me that I needed to have my MMR and tetanus shots before I adjust status. I opted to have them done at my GP as it was free. This was fine she told me and she gave me a letter stating which I needed and signed it. I went and had the shots and asked for a copy for evidence to send with my medical forms. Will this be sufficient if I put a covering letter in stating which shots I required and which I had done and the letter the doctor gave me at my medical (this just said which shots I needed?) Thanks

I just spoke to someone who clearly didn't understand that I've already had my medical, I'm already in the US and I don't need to or want to pay another $260! Surely someone just needs to update the vaccinations on my visa medical worksheet?! Help!

If you can’t find a civil surgeon that will do just the vaccinations sheet then you will need to redo the medical, they shouldn’t make you do this but unfortunalty some don’t follow this and you need this in order to do your aos. I would bet they know you don’t need a medical but they also know you are desperate and there are only a few places you can go to get the form completed.

Note for those going through the process - This is why in the UK sub forum it is recommended to look at the vaccinations and do as many that are missing with your gp as you can first then do the medical with Knightsbridge so you don’t end up with this situation. I knew I hadn’t done the mmr so had them done just after we sent the fiancé petition in so that I could get the series completed before the medical.

I spoke to them at Knightsbridge and they said just to keep the evidence from my GP that I got printed out that I had the mmr and tetanus and keep it together with the medical worksheet. They said they can't amend it once it's been sent.

Again there are only a limited number of people approved to fill out the medical forms from USCIS. I am sorry Knightsbridge advised you to just get a copy of your shots and attach them. That is not acceptable for USCIS. You need to go to a civil surgeon and have them complete the forms. You will bring them proof of your shots and they will use it to complete the paperwork, maybe thats what Knightbridge told you? To keep a copy of the shots for the future? Anyway some civil surgeons will complete just the vaccination part, others will demand you do the whole exam. Call around to different places. Hopefully you can find one that will just charge you for the vaccination part. If not youre going to have to pay for and do it all over again.
