My husband had his interview yesterday and after the interview, he was given a white slip 221g requesting more documents. My husband is down-hearted because of this but I told him that everything will be fine. My first question is, how long do we have to respond/submit the requested documents? Secondly, I don't have ceremony pictures because my camera got stolen in transit on my way back to the States but my husband has lot of pictures of us together on different occasions. Everything else, we have...if im going to send chat history, how  much to we send? For example, 3 months or 1 month. And how can i print my chat history from IMO? For the phone records, my husband calls me as it is cheaper from his side. I text him and he calls. Im trying to get  the phone company to release my phone records. I have money Gram receipts, how many receipts do I send. Lastly, I am thinking on going there at the end of December or early January before he submit the documents they are asking for. Is it going to safe for us? Please help. The main thing I'm thinking about is the picture. Other than that, I have everything else to send. Please advise. Sorry for the long explanation.IMG_20171128_160736.jpg.1711b5d47a7f33bb777f28252646e966.jpg

Which Embassy?  What do you mean safe to visit?  Get your husband to print out the copies of the pictures they are important, flight itinerary and passport stamps to show you have visited.  Chat history I would screen shot and edit to show how often you talk not the volume..just enough to show you've consistently communicated.   Does it say how long you have to submit the documents?  I would make sure you do so before that time frame.

Please give us more information/update your timeline in order for us to help you better. Looking to the limited information you shared, a random picks from chats between you and your husband will be a good thing. like pick two days of every week for two or three months back. That should be sufficient. Money transfer receipts for all your transactions would be good. I do not think you will need to print 100's of them... Send all the phone records, copy of the travel tickets for your visitations, and a picture or two from every occasion you guys had together....

Usually, the letter should states how much times you guys have to submit the documents. Good luck

US Embassy in Monrovia, Liberia. "what do you mean safe to visit?"  Since after the wedding i have not been there to visit him because of the high cost of plane fare and I just got a good paying job too.  But I am thinking about traveling there before he submits the requested documents....to take more pictures and to even go with him at the US Embassy. I have my flight itinerary when i left from there....Secondly, I tried getting my phone records through my phone company but it's difficult. The phone company is say that I have to get a court order or supeana in order to get it. Called the court but they said that it's not possible since i don't have a case at the court. Lastly, it doesn't show how long we have to submit the requested documents. There's no time frame on it at all. My husband said that the consular told to submit the requested documents and that was it. So, I am thinking about emailing the embassy to ask them as to how long we have to respond to the 221g form. I have my the original documents and will need to mail them via fedex or ups to take it myself early next year.

I find it strange you can't get your phone logs unless its not in your name.  I can access mine online.  What about your husband can he get his?   I would send it as soon as you can just because I've seen denials based on no proof of bonifide relationship.  I don't know however at what point it goes from AP to returned.

It's a CR1 visa interview at the US Embassy in Monrovia, Liberia. His interview was held yesterday morning. I was trying to download all my chats history from IMO but it has been very difficult. It's just not working out for me. One thing that we're looking at is the pictures.....we have lot of pictures of us together but not the ceremony. So, I don't know whether this picture thing will not hinder him from getting his visa and that is the main reason why i want to Consular said that he should submit the requested documents. So, maybe I will email the consular office today asking them how long do we have to submit the documents.

I am with a phone company called MetroPCS and it's in my name. I had to signed up for this call detailed extra but the thing is that, the record that i have access to is just outgoing calls and not incoming calls. I text my husband and he calls me because it's cheaper for him to call me than for me to call him. And furthermore, we communicate a lot on IMO. I asked him to check with his company and see whether he can get his call records. Thanks

It might be nice to go to visit him and go to the embassy but I would not recommend giving this as evidence as its after the interview.  I could be wrong but I feel they want to see evidence leading up to not after their decision for the 221g.  Also I would be concerned it looks fraudulent..IMO

I have everything that they're asking for but just that i have not visited him since after the wedding. If you say, "...fraudulent" what do you mean please? I don't know from what point that you're speaking but I don't engage into fraudulent activities at all in my entire life. Please don't assume!!!! Thanks

Not assuming at all.  Just saying looking on the embassy review of the situation.  They ask for proof you then go and "make proof" it may not help the case at all.

Don't get emotional just giving my opinion on what it looks like from the outside not judging you or making any assumption on your intention.

I am not trying to "make proof". We feel that by me being there with him will help the situation. But I am not in this for game or anything. I was there with him for over a year, so i came back and had to establish myself. I am not being emotional here but i think it's good to choose your words wisely sometimes. Thank you!

I understand your nervousness about the whole situation but you might be overthinking it a little. Do you recall any friends of family members who were in the cermony? they might have some pictures of you guys. If not, don't be so worried...if it is not there then it is not there and nothing you can do about. I really think you should be ok and will keep you in my prayers.

I agree being there with him would be helpful I do not think providing evidence of this trip would be beneficial.

I choose to say "I would be concerned it looks fraudulent" which is a what "I" think which is what people do when you ask for advice.  I was trying to be helpful in looking on the outside.   I'm not sure where I was unwise but we are only human after all.

Collect all the evidence you do have (looks like it will be easier from your husband's side) pictures, phone logs etc.  Relax and take your time to be sure you send in all they require.

Good luck to you!

Thank you so much for kind response. I really do appreciate it. The Lord is in control. I think you're right that I am overthinking it too much. Actually, I have all that they are requesting for but pictures of the ceremony. I have lots of photos of us together at different places doing my time there......chats, western unions, emails, phone records but anyway, we'll be fine. Again, thanks.
