NOA for I-765 and I-131, when to expect EAD card?

I finally received the Notice of Action for my I-131 and I-765 today! :D

In regards to that, does anyone know approximately how long it will take till I get my EAD card in the mail? I have read 7-10 days somewhere, is this correct to assume?

And is it safe for me to book my tickets back to Norway for Christmas now, since the applications were approved?

I also wonder if anyone know if it's safe for me to travel on the EAD, and that it's likely that they will let me back in? I don't have a job offer here in the US yet. Has anyone done this travel recently without any trouble?

Thank you :)

I can't help you with an answer, but I just read your post and wanted to say: Congratulations! What a great early Christmas gift! :)

Thank you so much! :) I am really happy about it, and went out to celebrate earlier today;) I hope everything works out so I can go home for Christmas.

It must have been lte July I think, I didn't note the date, but I must have been between 21-25. And then I had my biometrics on September the 12th.

Some people get it within a week of receiving the approval letter. Others much longer. Our took 2 months from the approval letter.

Wow, 2 months? Do you know if there were any special reasons for why it took so long?

Wow, so totally normal processing time!
Congrats again, I hope you'll get the AP quickly, and if so: Have a wonderful snowy Christmas in Norge! :)

Nope, no explanation.  The officer at our interview asked too if we were given an explanation. He also could not think of a reason as to why that could happen.  Just unlucky I guess.
