Has anyone with a green card traveled to mexico via carnival cruise?. what documents did you bring with you? do i need to get a tourist visa for my husband or any necessary documenrs? owe are planning to go to mexico on MAY 2018. his green card expires on NOV 2018.

Haven’t done a cruise but have been to Mexico twice. Having a green card exempts you from a visa if you normally need one for Mexico. Need the green card and passport.

Normally no visa or passport required on cruises.  Just bring Driver License.

Are you honestly suggesting a green card holder should leave the US with no proof of status to return? Even if it’s never asked for on cruises surely it’s better to have it just in case.
