I think it's a funny thing to do, but unless the person is going to retire, be an stay at home mom/dad, immigrate to a different country..etc. etc. it's going to be a very bad reference.

I find it amusing that people who say they cannot stand a person SO MUCH, they sure do keep up with his travels and whereabouts pretty closely.  Seems.... obsessive, at the very least.

It is not obsessive, unless said person doesn't hold public office, as in the case of Hillary Clinton. 

 

For instance, if you follow the steps of our so-called president, it's really not abnormal, because his actions have consequences, and his words sometimes have meaning.

 

It is amusing however, to see how many people are obsessed, as you say, with Hillary, who isn't in office, nor is running for office.

 

Very well observed, I'd say.
