DS3025 incomplete? AOS I-693 required?

Hi Everyone

The HCMC doctor did not seemed to have administered all of the necessary vaccinations to meet the AOS vaccination requirements .  Am I correct on this?   See the attached DS-3025.

Our DS-3025 shows Varicella and Influenza with waiver type "D" "Not Routinely Avalable".  I am guessing that the two vaccinations were not available when my fiancee went to the doctor.

I am planing to file AOS before I-94 expires so within the 1 -year of the initial medical exam was completed.  Do I need to see a civil surgeon and file the I-693 (Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record) and complete the Vaccination portion of the form?

Or will I get an RFE if I were to send the DS-3025 as is and not see a civil surgeon and file the I-693.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Same thing happened to us. Since the box for "US Vaccinations Complete" is marked, it seems like that overrides the Varicella marking for USCIS (or at least for some COs). After some discussion, given the varying costs of another appointment and the 693, we decided to just send in the 3025 as is and risk the RFE. No RFE, GC approved.

My advice is to do the same. Worst-case scenario is that you get an RFE requiring the 693 and the additional vaccine, but if you can avoid the hassle and the additional cost, and the potential delay of an RFE isn't a big deal to you, that's not such a terrible development.

For what it's worth, I've seen many fellow VN VJers go through the same thing and not have any issues with their 3025.

ok thanks for your feedback.  much appreciated.   i hate to see my fiancee being poked again and administered vaccination that she may not need or harmful to her just to avoid RFE.

Peter, it is interesting because I saw some different vaccination records of some of us.

I was requested to have Influenza shot, my Varicella is marked D  asThien. My Tdap is D as well. It confused me too

I had some references from some different people and I got advices that to go ahead with AOS so that what I am planning to do next. I just hope not to have RFE :)

Good luck to both of us

Yes, very confusing, indeed.  We have to assume  the designated panel doctor's know what they are doing based on evaluating her state of health.   Perhaps, the vaccination was not administered to her for health reasons such as allergy or past infections.   Thien returned to the vaccination center and they updated her yellow  vaccination record sheet.  Now,  she was given the influenza shot and the doctor noted she had history of Varicella so that vaccination  was not needed.    Unsure if this needs to be transcribed onto DS-3025 by civil surgeon before submitting it with AOS I-485  Since the original DS-3025 was marked COMPLETED , i will submit it as-is and wait for RFE if it needs to be updated via I-693.  i hope the COMPLETED result overrides any doubts the CO has on the completion of the vaccination requirements.  i don't  want to spend money on unnecessary vaccinations that may be harmful to Thien and not evaluated first  by a good American  doctor and follow their recommendations.  i am sure they are ok but  i just don't trust the Vietnamese doctors.

And it is really different on each cases, for example one of person I knew that they didn't have Tdap Vaccination and they got to have to complete vaccination as well as blood/skin/urine test and have the doctor I-693 sealed. Then the other person that didnt have enough vaccination but could pass it and got GC without RFE. Just go ahead to file AOS asap, we rather have RFE to know what exactly they need on our own case :)
