Payment on I-129F

The check that I sent in with my I-129F went through. Does this mean anything? Also, if we happen to get denied and have to reapply, do I have to pay the $535 again?

It means it's cashed, they have received your. package and you'll receive the first note of action (NOA1) soon, and the waiting for the approval notice (NOA2) starts. Expect around 5-6 months.

If your petition gets denied and you have to reapply you'll have to pay again.

Thank you. I can't think of any reason we'd get denied, but if we do, will they let us know the reasons so we can fix it for reapplication?

If you forgot stuff on your petition - sometimes even one box unchecked - or they need any other supporting documents you'll receive a Request for Further Evidence (RFE) instead of the NOA2. 
As far as I know, denials mostly happen at the interviews.

Okay. I triple-checked everything on the checklist I found on this site. I should have it all. He's from England.

As a bit of additional info, they do not cash the check until they have transferred it (successfully) to the CSC in California for processing. The Texas service center do a very quick check for missing signatures, etc, and send back the check without cashing it along with your application package if they had issues.

 

That doesn't mean that there isn't something that will be caught later, but there was nothing they noticed was obviously missing.

That sounds really reassuring! I received my NOA1 around the 10th. Does this mean that the forms and documentation (copies of pictures together, plane and train tickets, etc.) were accepted?
