When do I fill out the DS-156 and DS-156K forms

sorry if this is a lame questions, but I didn't see the filling out of the DS-156 and DS-156K forms on "Step-by-Step Guide on How to File for a K-1 Visa for your Foreign Fiance". Do I need to fill it out and turn it in when I submit the 129F? When do these forms come in the picture? do i need to worry about the yet?

For the I129F you dont need DS-156 and DS-156K are NOT needed for the I129F pack.

No, you don't need to fill out those forms.

I think they are in the packet your SO will receive from the embassy--after your petition had been approved.

DS-156 and DS-156K and others are completed by the foreign fiancé as part of Packet 3 which is sent to him/her by the Embassy/Consulate once the petition has been approved and subsequently forwarded to the Embassy/Consulate by NVC (National Visa Center). (See Step 9 in the K1 Visa Flowchart)

My fiance filled in DS-156 and 156K for his interview only.

Later in the process your fiancee will need them for her interview. Check out similar timelines and gauge when the interview will be. Just make sure your fiancee has them ready to go for the interview.

You will be filling these out in Package 3. this is after your I-129 has been approved and you have a NOA 2 in hand. Look at some of the timeline information in VJ and you can see when Package 3 is going to be. If is also alright to start gathering information for your packages.

My fiance did not send DS-156 or 156K with packet 3 - only at the interview did he present these.
