Can I type & handwrite I-864?

I'm filling it on a PC to let the barcode be updated. However, there are fields where I need to put N/A (or leave blank?) can I print the form I write N/A myself? Please help if you have past experiences (preferably after 2016)

If you aren't able to put in N/A or "None" because of format requirements, just leave it blank.

We hand wrote N/A in some spaces as it states on the instructions not to leave anything blank.

we also hand wrote addresses etc in the fields where the number of characters were limited by keyboard.

Where exactly on the instructions does it say not to leave anything blank?

Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been 
married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise 
directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many 
children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless 
otherwise directed.

Oh I thought there was something like "Do not leave blank spaces" Thank you!
