My parents just received my Oath Ceremony letter today Thursday in mail (10/12), however it is scheduled for next Tuesday (10/17). I am currently out of country for my 10 days vacations and won't be able to come back until next Friday.  I have to reschedule my oath.......

1. which address do I mail back the notice and my request to?  USCIS local office?

2. How will I find out if they successfully receive it and by next Tuesday?

3. Anyone have experience on how later they will reschedule your oath to?

Thanks guys for a million!

On the letter is lists the instructions on how to reschedule your oath, and where to send the letter to.

Get USPS delivery confirmation/tracking when mailing it.

Some people have reported a couple of weeks.

Some people have reported a few months.

A few people have reported that their mailed request for rescheduling was received but then never updated in the USCIS system and they received a denial letter in the end, turning out to be a mess they had to take care of.

If there is any way you can reschedule your flight back to take your Oath Ceremony, cutting your vacation short for a few days, I highly recommend it.  What's a few days missed vacation time compared to finally becoming a citizen that you have worked so hard to accomplish since first setting foot in America? :)

Looking at my own Oath Ceremony letter (my ceremony is next week as well) it says:

"If you cannot come to this ceremony, return this notice immediately with a written explanation on why you cannot attend."

Would be nice if they did give an address for clarity's sake, huh? :)

Make a copy of the oath letter and your explanation letter, and then send the original letter and your original written explanation to the office where you had your interview.
