No Biometrics Letter

Hi, we filed our I-751 on July 22, 2017 (California Service Center) and received our NOA1 receipt letter dated August 2, 2017.  We have not received any biometrics appointment letter.  I noticed that other people have been getting their biometrics appointment letter only 1-2 weeks after their first receipt.  Do we need to be concerned?

What does your online status on the USCIS website say? Does it say biometrics were scheduled?

This is way too long already, call the customer service hotline and ask them to transfer you to Tier2 agent. The Tier2 agent will create a service request for your biometrics appointment letter.

The system cannot find our receipt number.  However, the NOA1 says that online status is available only after receipt of the ASC appointment notice, by entering the "application number."  I don't know if the "application number" is the same number as the "receipt number" on the NOA1.

I just did this, and the agent said that it will take 15-30 days to get an an appointment letter.  I have no idea whether there was an original biometrics appointment letter was sent, and possibly lost in the mail, or if one was never sent.  Thanks.

Did the agent provide you the service request number? Usually after 5 days you will receive the biometrics letter after the service request created.

Application number is different than receipt number. Once you received your biometrics letter, the second number with CRI89 is your application number, you can use that number to track your application online at uscis.gov
