I-765 employment authorization delayed

In late June 2017 I put in paperwork for green card for wife/daughter (K-1 process). At the time, I included the I-765 application for employment for the 19-year-old daughter but not the wife. Then a month ago, I decided to put in an I-765 for the wife out of financial concern. Incredibly, received wife's interview for employment at USCIS, but not the daughter's.

So I looked on USCIS's website and it said I-765 takes up to 90 days. Clearly, it's been over 90 days for daughter but for the wife, who applied later, it was approved.

 

So I called USCIS and had trouble explaining the problem and them understanding. Only response given was to wait.

 

But USCIS regulations state 90 days and it's been over 90 days. What to do?

There is no interview for employment, so I'm unclear on what you mean by that.

 

EAD's currently take longer than 90 days... most often around 90-130, sometimes more

Yes, unfortunately it's been taking longer this year.

like I said, there is no such thing as an interview for employment authorization. Only for the green card.

the EAD's are processed at the NBC for AOS applicants not at the local USCIS offices. What did the letter calling you say?

That was a biometrics appointment. The first was for the i485. Both applications require biometrics and many ppl are sent 2 such appointments, especially when submitting applications separately. DId you actually get an approval notice? Sounds to me like it's not approved at all but just that she had her bio for the EAD

Yes that is an appointment for an ASC - application Support center... they do biometrics. They don't process any applications. It even says, Biometrics processing stamp. Please remove the picture though as your personal information is on it. ALWAYS block personal info.

like I said... both the i485 and the i765 require biometrics. Your wife's EAD is not approved.
