Hi Guys,

I am starting to fill out I 485 and have a question about Part 14.

The reason for me to use this is I have many addresses in the past 5 years.

Item 5 is for the first address

Item 6 is for the dates of the first address

Item 7 is for the second address

Item 8 is for the dates of the second address

Item 9 is for the most recent foreign address

Item 10 is for the dates of Item 9

Item 11 is for employment history

What should I do with Item Number if I have my fourth address and its dates? Thanks!

yes you may use the Part 14. Additional Information. For example if you want to add more space to enter addresses then on Part 14 you will go to...

3.a.PAGE NUMBER  and enter or write "4" ,,,

3.b.PART NUMBER  and enter or write "3" ,,,

3.c.ITEM NUMBER  and enter or write  "5.a" ....

if you still need more space for address then go to 4.a. 4.b. 4.c. and so on

Even I had to use this because i had different addresses from different countries. All the best

I am just not quite sure about

3.c.ITEM NUMBER  and enter or write  "5.a" ....

Why "5.a" but not "6.a". I think it could be a design issue of the form and it is quite understandable to write "5.a". I am just afraid I could get an RFE for this if the USCIS has a specific requirement for this that I am not aware of...

Because when you write "5.a" it clearly shows that you are talking about address. I understand that from 5.a to 10.b it talks about address history but I'd still put "5.a".
