police reports from US?

Hi there,

 

I am new here and we filed for my fiancée visa Sept 05. We just got our case number and it got forwarded to the Cailfornia Center.

 

Now I am already preparing the next steps for myself to go to the embassy once it's time.

I noticed, that they ask to bring a police report from everywhere you lived after age 16.

I was as a student in the US, but as they do background checks already, I am assuming I don't need to order that from there?

I researched and I would have to go there in person to give finger prints etc, but as the visa is pending I am not allowed to enter the US now.

So does anyone else have experience with that or knows if I do have to get this police report from the US?
